A Look at NIH Funding Trends

Pete will discuss the trends in NIH Funding over the past decade, looking at overall trends, what areas of research are being funded and how they have changed over the years, with comparisons using current dollars and adjusted for inflation. He'll also discuss some tools for analyzing where the money is going, and additional sources of research grants, and how to access this information.

Pete is currently the VP of Sales at NaviGRANT/NIH Sales. He is also President and CEO, Capital Biotechnology Ventures, Washington, DC. He has worked as a sales rep and/or sales manager for Life Technologies and Applied Biosystems from 1990-2010. Before that he was a Molecular Biologist at the DuPont Company, 1984-1990 and a member of the development team for Dupont’s automated DNA Sequencing platform, the Genesis 2000.

The association’s goal is to serve its members who work in commercial roles for life science products and services companies and associated businesses, globally.
SAMPS was previously named ACP-LS. We feel that SAMPS more clearly describes the membership, and will form a better foundation from which to expand this membership globally.
