The SAMPS Annual Meeting Program Team is accountable for assuring the program content meets the needs of members and attendees.
The team consists of commercial professionals who collectively have experience in all aspects of commercializing life science products and services sold to organizations (academic, government, and commercial) that perform research, discovery, development, and manufacturing of pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostic products and therapies.
Mike DeMayo, Global Head of Sales and Marketing at Invivoscribe
Mike DeMayo has over 30 years of experience in the sales and support of life science solutions. Most recently, Mike held the position of Americas Vice President for Affymetrix where he oversaw all aspects of sales, support, business development and marketing for Genomics and Cellular Analysis. His team was responsible for the dramatic growth of clinical applied genomics.
Prior to Affymetrix, Mike was the National Sales Manager for LEAP Technologies, a custom laboratory automation firm. He has held commercial managerial roles as a Regional Manager at Dionex and Proteomic Team Leader at PerkinElmer Life Sciences. Mike also held commercial roles with Applied Bioscience and Agilent Technologies. Mike has worked closely with the Corporate Executive Board (CEB) in the training of the Challenger Sales Approach.
Gina Mullane, Corporate Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Charles River
Gina Mullane has spent 20+ years at Charles River Labs. She started as a microbiologist and has held numerous marketing and product management jobs in the areas of pre-clinical, research models, biologics, manufacturing and discovery. She helped to launch an FDA licensed product in 1993 and has built and launched several branding initiatives, integrated small and large companies, and helped to grow and improve the scientific image for the company. She built an effective global team of over 60 marketing professionals and works every day to prove the value of marketing with extensive analysis and reporting of ROI.
Head of Marketing, Paragon Genomics
Joanne Dimitrakopoulos has an entrepreneurial spirit and extensive start-up expertise, having founded two companies prior to transitioning into the scientific industry. While at university she founded the Shadow-a-Student Program to provide insight for high school students wishing to pursue a career in the Life Sciences. Joanne began her marketing career at Millipore before moving on to several start up companies where she enjoyed the fast-paced environment and ability to try her hand at sales. During her time at eBioscience she was able to turnaround multiple stagnant product portfolios resulting in tremendous revenue growth. She is renowned for developing progressive marketing strategies and implementing novel tactical campaigns that exceed expectations.
